Upload a square image on a solid-colored background. Pick a color not used anywhere in the character, clothing, or equipment. Do not use a transparent background.

Expect some variation
AI generation has built-in randomness. The same image and prompt can produce different results.
Use stylized characters
This tool currently works best with less realistic characters. Pixel art, illustrated, anime, cartoon, and other game-ready styles tend to be more consistent.
Avoid very thin details
Thin lines—especially individual strands of hair—can pick up background bleed or disappear. Simple backgrounds and thicker, clearly separated shapes help. We’re working on it.
Build motion in short pieces
Break longer actions into very short animations. Use the last frame of one animation as the first frame of the next, then chain the clips together.
